A workshop for dancers and musicians.
Explore the structure of Arabic music and how it relates to dance.
Giles Lewin, Tim Garside and Sara Kahan, three of the most experienced and versatile exponents of Egyptian music and dance around, have been perfecting this combination of dance, music, singing and percussion for 4 years now and each time it grows and develops in new and exciting ways.
Making use of the incredible versatility of Giles and Tim’s musical skills we’ve explored a range of classical and popular Arabic songs and instrumental pieces.
Sara’s experience across the wide range of styles of Raqs Sharqi brings new depth to expressing and re-inventing the Egyptian/Arabic dance tradition.
If you’re a dancer you don’t have to sing, or play percussion to take part, but the opportunity is there if you want it. This workshop offers a rare and unique experience to Phone Bookings: 07932021292.
