5:30-6:30pm Under 11's
6:30-7:30pm Teens
7:30-8:30pm Adults

£8 per class - Membership (remaining classes to be paid in full)
£10 per class - 5 Class Package (5 classes to be paid in full)
£12 per class - Drop in (subject to availabilty)

Come and learn the latest Street & Hip-Hop moves and techniques from around the world as seen in Music Videos, Tours, Film and TV by professional dancer and choreographer Charlie Mayhew.

Charlie has performed all over the world on television, in commercials, film and music videos with artists such as Rihanna, Shakira, Katy Perry, Take That, The Scissor Sisters , Cheryl Cole, Leona Lewis, Westlife, Kanye West, Dizzie Rascal, Slayer, Patti LaBelle, Sugababes, The Wanted, Calvin Harris and many more.

Her dance career began when she became the backing dancer for The Spice Girls “Ginger Spice” Geri Halliwell and was propelled in to performing on some of the worlds biggest stages in some of todays most popular awards and TV shows in the UK and overseas such as The MTV Awards , The Brits, Fashion Rocks, The Royal Variety Performance, The Eurovision Song Contest, BBC Music Awards, The X Factor, Top Of The Pops, The Jonathan Ross Show, CD:UK, One Night at The Palladium and many more.

Along side her performance career Charlie works behind the camera as an artist coach, choreographer and was creatively involved as assistant movement director in the Brad Pitt film WWZ.

VENUE - The classes will take place in the beautiful light filled sprung floor and mirrored dance studio at Guildford College. Please enter the building at main reception and you will be directed to the dance studio. Classes will start promtly so please arrive 10 minutes before your class.

WHAT WE WILL LEARN IN CLASS - The class will start with a few gentle posture aligning exercises to keep our bodies strong and avoid injuries. The warm up will consist of Street & Hip Hop groove steps to practice style and warm up our muscles. Each week a different choreographed commercial street & hip hop routine will be taught so you can take it home to practice. Breath & stretch to finish.

WHAT TO WEAR & BRING TO CLASS - There is no dress code as long as dancers feel comfortable and confident. Stretchy loose fitting clothes are advised - Layers can be worn and long sleeves are great to start the class in while we get warm. Please wrap up warm when arriving and leaving the college building to protect your muscles. Sports trainers are the perfect footwear for Street dance classes. Please bring a bottle of water to class to keep you hydrated. If you are paying for a Drop in class you may do this as we enter the studio - It would be much appreciated if you can bring the correct change.
