Milonga EssentialsTango (Argentine) Workshop, Milonga at Improver to Intermediate level Dancing. Doors open 13:45. Admission £12.00. To book or for further details: Book, Tel: 01206 573742. This course will cover both milonga and tango. As well as being the name of a tango social event, the word 'milonga' is also used for a type of music. Milonga music is commonly played at social events (milongas), it is playful and can be quite fast. If you find it hard to dance to milonga music, especially with different partners then this is the ideal course. This course is suitable both for people who have been attending beginners' tango courses for a few months (not just the starter pack or introductory course), and also for more experienced people who wish to hone their leading and following skills to enable them to relax and enjoy the dance in both tango and milonga. Led by guest teachers, Kate and Tony of www.TangoAbrazo.com and supported by our own Cliff & Sue. Each session apart from session 1 will start with tango, followed by milonga. Kate and Tony are renowned for their ability to simplify the most elaborate steps into simple techniques to ensure that it can be led (or followed) with any partner. As well as being one of the best teaching couples in the area they are an inspiration to watch for the way in which they make the dance flow and appear so easy. | |||
