As part of the Mayor of London's popular Thames Festival, River Tango is now in its third year, and is set once again to take London by storm with four days of the very best tango events. The annual Thames Festival is a spectacular FREE open-air celebration of London and its river, with an amazing programme of events that transforms the river, parks and open spaces between Westminster and Tower Bridge into a display of artistic expressions from all over the world. Launched in 1997, Thames Festival is now a highlight of London's cultural calendar attracting more than 775,000 people in the last 2007 edition. The festival will kick off on September 11th at the Dome (Zero Hour), with two grand milongas at the stunning Bloomsbury Ballroom on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th, and culminate with a grand finale – “Milonga Eclectica” – at Negracha on Sunday 14th September. |
