"We are thrilled that Tim is coming to Witney to launch the West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts" – Brian & Louise Conroy, Directors, WOAPA. Tim Noble, choreographer to Kylie Minogue, is preparing to demonstrate the very latest dance ideas and trends with his exciting workshops at WOAPA. Before joining Kylie Minogue's team, Tim appeared in the west end in “Grease The Musical” and “Starlight Express”. Since joining Kylie, Tim has been her main dancer, Dance Captain and also choreographed a number of her videos and live international shows, including her “Show Girl World Tour” in 2005. As well as working with Kylie, Noble's company 'Purestar Productions' has worked with performers such as Girls Aloud, Madonna, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Jamelia Tim has also worked as choreographer and dance mentor on 'Pop idol' in Holland. Other projects include SkyTV's “Bigger Than … Lady GAGA”, Disney's High School Musical spectacular and the UK National Sister Act Tour. While continuing to choreograph for international stars, Noble works tirelessly to inspire and motivate young talent in the UK. “We aim to give kids the wow factor, give them a boost and really motivate them,” he says. The Tim Noble workshops are just part of the launch of the 'WOAPA – West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts' West Oxfordshire's newest theatre school for children. “We are so excited to be able to bring top professionals like Tim to work with our students in Witney,” said Director of WOAPA – Brian Conroy. “It is such a rare treat to have Tim with us in Witney. I'm sure everyone who takes part in the workshops will be inspired by his talent and infectious energy.” The workshops, throughout the day, will take students through various dance styles including musical theatre and commercial dance. Drawing from his wealth of experience in performance and choreography, Tim will offer the children a rare insight into the life of a professional dancer. At the end of each workshop all the children will take part in a presentation for families and friends, and each child will receive a certificate from Tim and souvenir T shirt. “This is a wonderful opportunity to work with someone with Tim's amazing experience,” added Brian. “. We are thrilled to announce that top professional choreographer James Robinson is coming to teach a special street dance class in Witney, at West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts James, from 'Purestar Productions' is preparing to demonstrate the very latest dance ideas and trends with his exciting dance workshops at WOAPA. James has danced for artists such as: Jessie J, Leona Lewis, Peter Andre, Pixie Lott, The Saturdays, The Wanted, Pussycat Dolls, Atomic Kitten, John Barrowman, The Spice Girls, Duffy, Annie Lennox, Cliff Richard, Anastasia, Alesha Dixon, Tom Jones & Danni Minogue, And on television programmes such as: X-Factor, So You Think You Can Dance? Red & Black, Pop idol (Russia) & Stars in their eyes. James has worked on choreography for events such as The Queens Jubilee Concert, 'The Voice', 'So You Think You Can Dance', & various Pantomimes James comes highly recommended by Tim Noble, choreographer to Kylie Minogue, whose workshops formed part of the launch in 2012 of 'WOAPA' – West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts' theatre school for children in Witney. We are so excited to be able to continue to bring top professionals like Tim & James to work with our performing arts students in Witney. It is such a rare treat to have James visit us. At the end of each workshop all the children will take part in a short presentation for families and friends, and each child will receive a 'Purestar' certificate and a photo opportunity with James. All current students at WOAPA [Acts 1, 2 & 3] automatically have a placed reserved at the workshop as part of their on-going usual tuition at WOAPA. We are also able to offer a limited amount of spaces to children who are not regular WOAPA students. The Morning session is SOLD OUT but there are some places remaining at the 1.30-4.30pm session, at £25 per person for the three hour session. | |||
