Tango Bromsgrove offers regular drop-in classes and occasional workshops for complete beginners, and we also organise regular practicas and more formal milongas. The fundamentals of tango are not difficult to acquire, and most people can be dancing simple, but authentic, tango in just a few hours. As dancers gain experience and develop their skill, they discover new ways to express themselves through the dance, but tango remains, at its heart, a simple dance. Content: First Steps in Argentine Tango: + Fundamentals of Dancing Argentine Tango, Milonga and Vals + Walking, Turning, Improvisation & Musicality + Floorcraft & Etiquette of Social Dancing For complete beginners wanting to join this class, we also offer 30 minutes of additional help with tango basics from 8pm (no additional charge), and the main class is followed by a short practica until 10pm. | ||

Wherever you currently dance, do come and join us at our next practica or milonga. We aim to offer a warm welcome, a nice venue and great music. Stoke Prior Village Hall is conveniently located between Bromsgrove and Droitwich, just a few minutes drive from M5 J5. We have a lovely and spacious dance floor and as the venue is unlicensed, you are welcome to bring your own refreshments. Expect dancing mostly in the Tango de Salon style, with music played in traditional tandas with cortinas. About 80% of the music will be from the leading orchestras of the Golden Age, with the balance being an eclectic mix of more recent orchestras, neo-tango and alternative tango - something for everyone, but always chosen for dancing. | ||
